When we started looking for a new home and wanted to sell ours, it was immediately clear we'd go through the same agent. After an introductory meeting with Susan, we quickly realized we were in good hands. When I wanted to buy an apartment in 1999, after five years of renting, there was only one real estate agent I wanted to work with: Real Estate Agency Carla van den Brink, the expert in Amsterdam Zuid. Thanks to Joep's professional mediation, I became the owner of a beautiful apartment on Cornelis Dopperkade, the quay that had been at the top of my list.

In 2019, I decided to return to The Hague. Naturally, the sale of my apartment went through Joep again; he knew the apartment and is the leasehold expert. The sales process was accompanied by difficult financing issues. Thanks to the agent's expert help, I remained patient and found a good solution. My apartment ended up in the hands of a great owner, something I also wished the neighbors would have.

We usually get. Except from that one lady sitting next to me in the taxi. "Oh, I know where that is. It's really nice living there." "Yeah, yeah," I looked at her suspiciously. This must have been Providence that had brought us together in the taxi on an early Saturday morning, the sun was shining and the lockdown was still in its infancy. After four years of living in a studio apartment, my son was ready for an apartment with a separate bedroom in a pleasant neighborhood. With a heavy heart, we put my apartment, which we had enjoyed so much, up for sale. We decided to sell our apartment in Amsterdam and look for a slightly larger house. A unique apartment in a fantastic city center location with plenty of space, natural light, privacy, a roof terrace, and parking—that's what we were looking for. The sale of our house in Amsterdam's city center is a true Christmas story. Even though the housing market wasn't great, we still sold within six weeks. The buyer arrived the day before Christmas, he visited again with his family on Boxing Day, and we were at the notary on Epiphany. We viewed many properties and are very happy with the one we found. We met the entire Carla van den Brink team and many other real estate agents who tried to sell us all sorts of houses. Each time, we were so glad we chose Carla van den Brink. The office is staffed by very enthusiastic, intelligent people with extensive expertise, and they are also exceptionally skilled negotiators. Hellen did a fantastic job for us, and Pieter Joep expertly finalized the process at the notary. Finally, we were impressed by their precise understanding of the times and the market, which was so crucial during this economic crisis. Hats off!
